Dear Parents,
Welcome back and welcome to Oak if your child is new to Punnetts Town. I hope you all had a lovely summer and have now settled back into the routine of a school week.
This term we have P.E on a Tuesday and Thursday. The children are currently being asked to wear their P.E kit into school on these days, along with joggers and a sweater to keep them warm in class, and outside.
Our class theme is Time Traveller, with an emphasis on different periods of history and understanding where those periods of history connect. We are also looking at change, and how items have changed quickly showing the passing of time. We will be looking at the humble phone as an example. If you have any old phones that you wouldn’t mind the children looking at, please send them in and we will be looking at them in week 3. These may well be shared with Elm and thank you in advance.
This year Oak are supported by Miss Webb, Miss Sherwood (Monday, Tuesday and Friday) and Mrs Jones (Wednesday and Thursday mornings).
The children now eat their lunches in their own area: they can eat outside (weather permitting) or in the classroom. Year 4 have pegs outside our class and the Year 5’s have a locker, in the corridor by the hall.
The Parent Teacher Consultations will soon be upon us, but in the meantime, if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me as soon as possible, either by email or phone and I will reply as soon as is possible.
